If you haven’t already guessed it, I have an artistic background, and one thing I am sure to notice,  over analyze and love is color! So I put together this post, putting a spotlight on the color trends for Fall/Winter.

Nails: Matte Charcoal & Red Tips

I found myself experimenting again… and this is what came of it. My nails feel very Autumn/Fall now – with the deep matte charcoal that reminds me of wool and the rich burgundy red tips!

What’s on my nails:

  1. Essie “all in one base” multi-treatment base coat
  2. China Glaze “Stone Cold” (from The Hunger Games Collection)
  3. Butter London “Matte Finish” shine free topcoat
  4. Ulta “Plum Street” nail lacquer
  5. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat (on tips only)

Fresh NAILS: Mint Tips & Sparkle

I was feeling girly and my nails were in desperate need of  a new dress – if ya know what I mean! So I went with a sparkling base coat and mint green tips (one of my favorite colors).

Products Used:

Essie All-in-One Base Coat

Butter London Nail Lacquer in “Tart with a Heart”

Ulta Nail Lacquer in “Mint Condintion”

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

Quick Tip:

An easy way to create clean french-style nail tips – buy the small round/circular band-aids.

  1. Take 5 band-aids and cut them in half.
  2. Take each half and stick them to the back of your hands, the oils from your skin will reduce the tackiness in the band-aid glue.
  3. Apply the band-aid halves to each of your DRY nails and apply your nail color to the tips of your nails.
  4. Apply two coats of the tip color, if necessary, one nail at a time and remove the band-aids, before the nail polish dries.
  5. Allow the nail color to set and apply your favorite top coat.

Splash of color: Minty Greens, Ocean Blues, Sea Greens and Teal

So a few days ago I posted about my love for all things coral in color, since then I realized my other favorite Spring and Summer color range:  Minty greens, ocean blues, sea greens, teal and all colors in between!

So I grabbed quite a few things in these colors along the lines of clothing, accesories, nail polish and of course make-up!
